Submission Guidelines
Mizoram University Journal of Humanities & Social Sciences (MZUJHSS) welcomes original scholarly contributions in the Humanities and Social Sciences. Manuscripts may be submitted throughout the year and are considered for publication subject to editorial assessment and peer review.
1. Types of Manuscripts
The journal accepts the following types of scholarly contributions:
- Original Research Articles
- Review Articles
- Book Reviews
2. Scope of the Journal
MZUJHSS welcomes original scholarly contributions in, but not limited to, the following disciplines:
- Commerce
- Management
- Disaster Management
- Mass Communication
- Economics
- Mizo
- Education
- Political Science
- English
- Psychology
- Hindi
- Public Administration
- History & Ethnography
- Social Work
- Philosophy
- Sociology
- Library & Information Science
- Women's Studies
- Law
Contributions from other related areas within the Humanities and Social Sciences may also be considered, subject to their relevance to the journal's scope.
3. Submission Process
All manuscripts must be submitted only through the official Google Form. Manuscripts submitted by email will not be considered.

Authors should ensure that the manuscript is complete and prepared in accordance with the journal's submission requirements before completing the online submission form.

Authors are required to use the journal's designated blind manuscript template for manuscript preparation and submission.

5. Academic Ethics, Originality and Similarity
All submissions must comply with established standards of academic ethics and scholarly integrity. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original scholarly contributions and meet the ethical requirements applicable to academic publication.
The manuscript must have a similarity index of not more than 10%. Authors should ensure that appropriate acknowledgement and citation are provided for all sources used in the manuscript.
6. Use of AI-Generated Content
The journal permits a maximum of 20% AI-generated content in a submitted manuscript. Authors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, academic integrity, and scholarly quality of the entire manuscript.
Authors should ensure that the use of artificial intelligence tools does not compromise the originality, reliability, attribution, or academic integrity of the submitted work.
7. Article Processing Charge (APC)
MZUJHSS does not charge any submission fee.
An Article Processing Charge (APC) of ₹1,500 is payable only after successful peer review, editorial acceptance, and prior to publication.
Important: Submission of a manuscript does not require payment of any submission fee. The APC becomes applicable only after successful peer review and editorial acceptance.
8. Important Submission Instructions
- Manuscripts may be submitted throughout the year.
- All manuscripts must be submitted through the official Google Form.
- Email submissions will not be considered.
- Authors should use the designated blind manuscript template.
- Submissions must comply with academic ethics and scholarly integrity.
- The similarity index must not exceed 10%.
- AI-generated content must not exceed 20%.
- No submission fee is charged.
- An APC of ₹1,500 is payable only after successful peer review and editorial acceptance and before publication.
